Offset printing

Flexography
High-speed, roll-feed web printing process in which ink is applied to various surfaces by means of flexible rubber or other elastomeric printing plates. Flexographic printing is commonly used to print high volumes of labels, higher volumes of folding cartons and corrugated packing.

Digital printing
Using the latest techniques in digital printing, electronic files (usually a JPEG or PDF file) are printed directly on your chosen material from your computer. Digital printing is commonly used in packaging for creating cost effective samples and prototypes for custom packaging.

UV Printing
UV printing uses infrared or ultraviolet (UV) lamps to cure or dry ink instead of thermal methods. The ink dries and cures in an instant. This makes prints resistant to scratching and solvents. UV printing allows printing on most materials such as wood, glass, ceramics, leather and plastic.

Gravure printing
Like engraving, gravure is a form of intaglio printing, in which the image to be printed consists of depressions or recesses on the surface of the printing plate. The process is the reverse of relief printing in which the image is raised from the surface of the plate.

Silkscreen printing
This printing technique involves pushing ink through a stencil made of fine mesh or polyester. Silkscreen prints have deep and bold colors, offering a sharp, smooth finish. They work best for natural fabrics to create texturised effect and vibrant results.

Laser engraving
In this process, heat from a laser beam causes part of the material’s surface to vaporize, engraving a logo, text, or any other symbols on it. No ink or tools come in contact with the material. The visible and deep markings are permanent and abrasion-proof.

Scodix digital enhancement
Scodix machines can produce digital versions of the most popular raised-ink type finishes such as foil, varnish, glitter, and others with tactile effects. It is ideal cost-effective and time-efficient solution for small to medium-sized production runs.

Aqueous coating
The standard coating for custom packaging solutions, AQ coating uses clear, water-based varnish on your packaging material. Besides being safe to use for food products, this finish protects surfaces from scuffs and blemishes.

UV coating
This type of transparent coating involves subjecting varnished material to UV lamps, resulting in a glossy finish although you can also go for a matte finish. Either way, this provides a protective layer on your packaging surface.

Soft-touch coating
With soft-touch coating, your packaging material gets a velvety exterior so that it becomes resistant to moisture, fingerprints, and scuffs. This is a popular choice for luxury and high-end packaging.

Varnish
This coating is a clear finish that’s applied on your paperstock during or after printing. We can do flood varnishing (covering the entire press sheet) in glossy, matte, and satin.

debossing
Debossing is a post-print technique that creates a tridimensional depressed (or lowered) pattern on your box. It can be combined with embossing, hot foil stamping and different coatings if you want to offer your customers a full tactile experience.

Embossing
Embossing is a post-print technique that creates a tridimensional raised pattern on your box. It is often used to highlight the logos or specific elements of the brand on the box, making the box very interesting to the touch and giving it a very luxurious feel.

Gold and silver foiling
Form of relief printing in which gold or silver “foil” is transferred to the surface of the box using a heated metal die and a press. It looks best when used to emphasize a logo or a design element. It can be combined with embossing to create a more striking 3D image.

Custom window cut-out with PVC sheet
Box covers or lids can feature a round, rectangular, or square die-cut window with a thin plastic patch. Also referred to as window patching, this feature is helpful for food and luxury products.
